Lesson 62: Gerunds – Verb + Ing as Noun — English Practice

A Gerund is a verb ending in -ing that functions as a noun (Verb + ing जो संज्ञा/Noun का काम करे।). e.g., Smoking is injurious to health.

Gerunds can act as the subject of the sentence (e.g., Swimming is good exercise) or the object of a verb (e.g., I love reading).

Preposition Rule: Always use a gerund (V1+ing) after prepositions (in, on, at, about, for, of). e.g., She is good at painting.
