OnlineCBT.in ("OnlineCBT", "we", "us", or "our") provides technical lessons, language and typing practice, educational articles, calculators, current affairs, study resources, CBT assessments, the OnlineCBT Typing Master Desktop Application (Windows), and related account services. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to visitors, desktop application users, and registered members.

OnlineCBT Typing Master Desktop Application (Windows)

We are deeply committed to user privacy and transparent data practices in our Windows desktop software:

• Local Keystroke Processing & Zero Keylogging: During typing practice and speed tests, all keystroke calculations (such as Words Per Minute [WPM], accuracy percentage, backspaces, and error counts) are evaluated 100% locally on your computer in real time. We do not record, log, capture, or transmit your individual keystrokes or sensitive input to any remote server.
• Local Device Storage: Offline practice sessions, custom settings, and test presets are stored locally on your device in secure application storage for seamless offline access.
• Optional Cloud Synchronization: If you choose to sign in with your OnlineCBT or Google account, only aggregated test results (final WPM, accuracy score, test name, and date) are securely transmitted via encrypted HTTPS to update your student profile and progress history.
• Desktop Capabilities & Permissions: The desktop application utilizes standard Windows desktop permissions solely to enable essential user-facing features, such as exporting PDF scorecards to your selected folder, sending reports to local printers, and checking for software updates. The application does not access your microphone, camera, or personal documents.
• No Spyware or Hidden Background Tracking: The desktop application contains no background surveillance tools, adware, or invasive tracking mechanisms.

User Registration and Account Security

When you register an account on the OnlineCBT web portal or through the Desktop Application:

• Registration Details: We collect basic identification details such as your name, email address, mobile number (for OTP verification and important account alerts), and secure login credentials (or Google OAuth profile identifier when using Single Sign-On).
• Purpose of Registration: This information is used strictly to create your unique student profile, track your typing speed progress and exam scorecards over time, provide personalized learning recommendations, and manage your active test package subscriptions.
• Password Protection: Passwords are cryptographically hashed using industry-standard algorithms and are never stored in plain text.
• Account Control: Registered users can update their profile information, manage preferences, or request permanent account and data deletion at any time through our support team.

Payment Processing & Razorpay Gateway

For paid test series, premium typing packages, and CBT subscriptions:

• Authorized Gateway (Razorpay): All online monetary transactions are securely processed through our trusted payment gateway partner, Razorpay Software Private Limited (Razorpay Privacy Policy), which is certified under the highest industry security standard (PCI-DSS Level 1 Compliance).
• Zero Card/Banking Data Storage: OnlineCBT does not collect, process, or store your sensitive banking credentials, credit/debit card numbers, CVV, Net Banking passwords, or UPI PINs on its servers. All payment inputs are entered directly into Razorpay's end-to-end encrypted payment interface.
• Transaction Records: OnlineCBT receives and retains only non-sensitive transaction confirmation metadata (such as Razorpay Order ID, Payment ID, transaction date, amount paid, and success/failure status) solely for invoice generation, subscription activation, and financial audit compliance.

Information we collect

• Account information: name, email address, mobile number, login details, profile information, and language preferences.
• Learning and transaction records: lesson activity, typing results, course enrolments, test attempts, answers, scores, orders, payment status, support requests, and feedback.
• Device and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system version, referring pages, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, timestamps, cookie identifiers, and diagnostic logs.
• Information you submit: messages, uploaded profile images, and other material you choose to provide.

All payments are securely handled by Razorpay. OnlineCBT does not store sensitive card or bank-account credentials on its servers.

How we use information

We use information to operate accounts and learning tools, provide requested or purchased services, show progress and results, process and reconcile transactions, respond to support requests, prevent fraud and abuse, secure and debug the service, understand aggregate usage, improve features, comply with law, and send service communications. Promotional communications are sent only where permitted, and users may opt out using the method provided in the message.

Advertising, analytics, and third parties

We use Google AdSense and may use approved advertising or analytics partners. Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or similar technologies to serve, limit, personalize, and measure ads based on a user's visits to this and other sites. Where consent is required, non-essential advertising and measurement are controlled through the consent interface.

Cookies and consent choices

Necessary cookies support security, sessions, login, language, purchases, and requested features. With the required permission, analytics and advertising cookies help measure usage and deliver or limit ads. The consent interface allows applicable users to accept, reject, or manage non-essential purposes. When information is shared

We share only what is reasonably needed with service providers that support hosting, security, communication, payment processing, analytics, advertising, and customer support. We may also disclose information to comply with a lawful request, protect users or the service, investigate fraud or abuse, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal contact information for cash.

Retention and security

Information is retained only for as long as needed for the purposes described above, including account operation, transaction and tax records, dispute resolution, security, and legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record type. We use administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your rights and choices

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of your personal information, or object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent for future optional processing. We may need to verify the request and may retain information where law or legitimate security and transaction needs require it.

Children

OnlineCBT is intended for competitive-exam learners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate parental authorization. A parent or guardian who believes a child has submitted such information should contact us so we can review and delete it where required.

Policy changes

We may update this policy when our practices, services, or legal obligations change. The updated date will be shown at the top, and material changes may also be communicated through the service.
