The Official Examination Architecture of IBPS CSA 2026
The IBPS Customer Service Associate (Clerical Cadre) examination is one of India's largest banking recruitment drives. To secure appointment in your preferred public sector bank, you need a clear understanding of sectional time constraints, individual and aggregate cut-off mechanisms, and the 200-mark Mains scoring formulation.

3. Tactical Marking and Execution Rules
- 100% Merit on Mains Marks: Final state-wise merit lists and bank allotments depend entirely on your normalized score out of 200 in the Mains CBT, converted to a 100-point scale. Prelims marks are discarded after screening.
- Strict Sectional Cut-Off Vigilance: In both Prelims and Mains, candidates must clear the minimum qualifying cut-off in each of the individual sections as well as the total aggregate cut-off.
- Negative Marking Discipline: A 0.25 penalty per incorrect answer means four incorrect guesses forfeit a full mark. Avoid speculative guessing on questions where you cannot eliminate at least two options.
