Grammar Rules — Adjectives

Degrees of Comparison: Positive (basic quality), Comparative (compares two), Superlative (compares three or more) (तुलना के तीन स्तर होते हैं - Positive, Comparative, Superlative।).

For short adjectives, add -er for Comparative and -est for Superlative. Structure: [Subject 1] + [Verb] + [Comparative Adjective] + than + [Subject 2]. e.g., Ram is taller than Shyam.

For long adjectives, use "more" for Comparative and "most" for Superlative. Structure: [Subject] + [Verb] + the + [Superlative Adjective] + [Noun]. e.g., She is the most beautiful girl in the class.

Practice Examples — वाक्य संरचना उदाहरण

Iron is cheaper than gold. (cheaper is comparative)
Mount Everest is the highest peak in the world. (highest is superlative)
This puzzle is more difficult than the last one.
