Demonstrative & Possessive Adjectives

Adjectives

Grammar Rules — Adjectives

1
Demonstrative Adjectives point to specific nouns and must be followed by a noun (संकेतवाचक विशेषण - इनके तुरंत बाद संज्ञा/noun आती है।). Structure: [This/That/These/Those] + [Noun] + [Verb]. e.g., This pen is mine.
2
Possessive Adjectives show ownership and are always followed by a noun (my, our, your, his, her, its, their) (ये मालिकाना हक दर्शाते हैं और इनके बाद noun आता है।). Structure: [Possessive Adjective] + [Noun] + [Verb]. e.g., My father is a doctor.
3
Difference: "This is my book" (Pronoun) vs "This book is mine" (Adjective). Possessive Adjectives modify nouns directly. e.g., Her car is red.
