Coordinating Conjunctions

Conjunctions

Grammar Rules — Conjunctions

1
Conjunctions join words, phrases, or clauses. Coordinating Conjunctions join items of equal grammatical rank (FANBOYS: For, And, Nor, But, Or, Yet, So) (समान महत्व के वाक्यों को जोड़ने वाले संयोजक।).
2
Use "But" to show contrast, "Or" to show choice, and "So" to show result (But -> विरोधाभास, Or -> विकल्प, So -> परिणाम।). Structure: [Clause 1] + , + [Conjunction] + [Clause 2]. e.g., I was tired, so I slept.
3
Punctuation Rule: Always place a comma before the coordinating conjunction when joining two independent clauses. e.g., He worked hard, yet he failed.
