Grammar Rules — Conjunctions

Subordinating Conjunctions join a dependent clause to an independent clause (एक मुख्य वाक्य और आश्रित उपवाक्य को जोड़ने वाले शब्द।). e.g., because, although, since, unless, if, when.

Because/Since show reasons. Although/Though show contrast (Because -> कारण, Although -> यद्यपि/यही कारण है कि विरोधाभास।). Structure: [Subordinating Conjunction] + [Clause 1] + , + [Clause 2].

Unless/If show conditions (Unless -> जब तक कि नहीं, If -> यदि/अगर।). Note: "Unless" is inherently negative, do not use "not" in the unless-clause. e.g., Unless you work hard, you won't pass.

Practice Examples — वाक्य संरचना उदाहरण

She did not come to school because she was sick. (reason)

Although it was raining, they played football. (contrast)

If you practice daily, you will speak fluent English. (condition)

3	Coherent Adjective	Sangat (Logical and consistent/easy to follow)	He gave a coherent presentation about the sales strategy.
4	Compel Verb	Majboor karna (Force or pressure someone to do something)	Strict laws will compel citizens to wear seatbelts.
5	Condone Verb	Maf karna (Accept and allow behavior that is considered wrong)	The school board will not condone any act of cheating.
